A huge ‘you are welcome’ from both myself and the folks over at Clikyz.Com, James. We have now been active for three whole months! This is a big milestone for us and we only have everyone that has supported us, checked us out and got involved to thank for that. We have plenty more stuff coming up in the next three months including an upgraded website, a new t-shirt, loads of…

We’ve sold almost 120 t-shirts of our Bloody Medic, Now! design since the Clikyz.Com relaunch just a single month ago. Several minutes ago we reached our first 1,000 likes on the Clikyz.Com Facebook page. This was a fresh Facebook page when we relaunched a month ago as we originally started a ‘group’ several years ago before the ‘like’ phenomena came about.
We are eternally thankful for all of your love and support. This simply would not have been possible without your support and encouraging words over the last few weeks. The money from the sales of t-shirts will be going back into Clikyz.Com to bring you more sexy products and towards the costs of touring the UK later this year in promotion of my debut album (The Withdrawal
There is still 25% off of our t-shirts and we still have plenty of stock so feel free to pick up a sexy t-shirt today. Free shipping still applies; The price you see is the price you pay.
The next wave of Geek Royalty invites are going out later; This is our VIP club where you can beta test products before everybody else. Make sure to keep an eye out in your email inboxes for these as that is where they are going; Not to social media profiles. I’ll be sending more of these out every day; Keep checking those electronic mailboxes, my fellow geeks!

As some of you may know, I originally started Clikyz.Com several years ago as a social network whilst I was in high school. It wasn’t aiming to compete with MySpace or Facebook, but we wanted to offer an alternative: A convergence point of a collection of APIs supplied by the various social networks.
There were simply too many social networks to choose from and there wasn’t an easy way to enjoy the content on all of these brilliant websites in one place which is when we decided to bring everything together in one meta social network where adding somebody on one social network added them on all of the accounts they had added to Clikyz.Com, whilst this was a killer feature, the killer feature was being able to enjoy all of the content you created on all these networks in one place. Clikyz.Com never had any advertising on the site because we believed that advertising alienated our audience and would render it unable to compete with some of the premium desktop applications that were being developed at the time. Within the first month, we had over 20,000 users and this was simply thanks to word of mouth through people inviting their family and friends. Days after that, we hit 50,000 users. As time went on and we found ourselves with more and more users, the site began to get very heavy on resource use and this is when we needed to find a way to fund the network as well as give ourselves some form of salary. We looked towards supplying products that we had designed ourselves as well as music downloads, this worked extremely well for several months. Somewhere along the line, due to the resources necessary to run the network and the interest in what we were doing to fund Clikyz.Com, we made the jump from social network to online store only. This was a decision that I made with Anna Lowe due to the ever changing API systems which made it somewhat difficult to remain on top of the latest changes with a team of only four individuals, only two of which (One of them being myself) tweaked code on the site. We originally sold 52 different products worldwide, all exclusive to Clikyz.Com and of our own design: Everything from t-shirts to pendants to comic books. These were extremely popular; We shipped these products to a total of 18 different countries, something that we are still very proud of. That was several years ago and somewhere along the line, that circle of friends drifted apart due to personal reasons. For a long while I had to put Clikyz.Com to the side and pretend that it simply didn’t exist in order to not let my emotions overwhelm me. Everything that Clikyz.Com was in both software and product had a little piece of us all within it. I even considered relaunching Clikyz.Com as a social network at one point, but realised that the software was now extremely vulnerable to security exploits and I would have to begin coding from scratch.
Dusting off boxes of hard drives and binders, I decided it was time to return to Clikyz.Com. There is a song lyric I would like to quote which was written by my personal assistant (@iwrestledahammy):
“And if we should get lost on our path, We’ll take a walk along a winding road”
It has been a long and winding road back to normality, but I’m now feeling strong enough to take up that name of ‘Clikyz.Com’ once again and bring you something new and different. I view this as a complete rebirth of Clikyz.Com; New products and new faces, complete with a new outlook on life. Clikyz.Com lives on in name alone, we are not returning to developing social convergence software, but we are taking a new approach to the clothing range. Having different people to work with has been a huge benefit to me and I would like to extend a warm thank you to both @fanboycraig and @iwrestledahammy for being there for me over the past year and contributing to my various projects. They will continue to contribute and will become familiar faces across the various projects that I am sure you are growing familiar with. Over the last month, I’ve been hard at work finishing my music and working on some extremely exciting projects and it is with my great pleasure that I bring you the new Clikyz.Com as well as our first new product which is available to purchase immediately.
We no longer intend to bring data together in one place, but to do something more meaningful: Bringing together human beings in any manner by any method. Clikyz.Com is the convergence of human beings and their ideas.
As always, our products are manufactured within the United Kingdom and packed with care. And to answer the question before somebody asks: Yes, we still ship worldwide! Please remember to share Clikyz.Com with your friends because your clicks are what makes sure that this is as successful as it can possibly be. I’ll be seeing you all on the road soon after I’ve released my music and will be bringing even more Clikyz.Com products to you. So why are you still here? Go and get your Clikyz.Com 100% unisex t-shirt now!

Though I’ve been promoting Wheatus so much in the physical world and on the last remaining IRC servers of the world, and I have been able to see the results online, it isn’t quite enough to perform an action and just see a consequence; There is no human interaction and I feel like the part of me that enjoys human interaction is very neglected. I don’t want to just be an observer anymore. To be honest, life has felt like one giant video game for the last month or so, especially creating music and indirect interactions with people.
I really miss you all so much. I told you all that I would come back with music at 100,000 tweets, but right now, I’m not able to do that. I’m actually really rather depressed. Each of my actions mean nothing without you all. You are what has propelled me towards this point in time and this conclusion. What is the point of having a piece of music, a product or anything else if there is nobody in your life to enjoy it and give you feedback about where you are heading with the project? Social isolation in moderation can be a positive thing, though social isolation for weeks and months on end is an extremely negative thing.
I’m coming back to Twitter, and you’re all going to support me emotionally by just speaking to me and connecting with me on a personal level. I don’t expect sympathy, I just expect conversation; A simple ‘hello’ or ‘I love you’ means the world to me.
I have come to the conclusion that I will actually finish this music more quickly if I’m amongst you all in the digital and physical world. This isn’t a decision that I have come to with ease and I hate to disappoint, but I put my mental wellbeing before my projects. I’m expecting to give you all 2002, A Great Year For Calendars in the next week or two, but I need some social and emotional reassurance.
I was actually wondering if some of you would hate me for neglecting you and then coming back empty handed, that’s why I’ve come back with at least something.
My personal assistant (@iwrestledahammy) went home on Friday, life has been pretty lonely since then. My productivity has more or less plummeted as well, and you know how I’m all about that sweet, sweet productivity.
Currently, I’m planning on waiting outside of the Apple Store all day with some friends when the iPad 2 is released in the UK and playing some acoustic songs throughout the day outside of the store. It’ll be a great opportunity to see some friends and it’ll be a great opportunity to give myself some much needed musical exposure and a large dose of human interaction. Maybe then I’ll feel a little more confident about releasing my music if I’ve gotten some feedback from the local folk regarding my new material.
Much to my surprise, you’ve all been talking about me ridiculous amounts in my absence and I’ve actually gained almost 7,000 followers since I’ve been gone even though my tweets have been days, sometimes weeks apart. In the time that I’ve been away, I attracted quite a lot of followers on Twitter via IRC that were from Japan. Several of whom are currently unaccounted for and that is making me feel pretty negative.
Eight years ago, I think I said something that will remain true for the rest of my days:
“Everything means nothing unless I have you.”
Although that was referring to a lover and a lot of people mocked me for it at the time for years afterward, I’ve now realised that the people that make everything meaningful are every one of you.
This isn’t the first time that I’ve been depressed and it probably won’t be the last, but I can guarantee you that 48 hours from now when I’m interacting with you all again, I know I am going to feel so much more cheerful and so much more positive. You all mean the world to me.
The longest I have ever felt depressed was two years and that was solved with the help of a handful of you out there reading this; I started feeling better within hours after spilling my thoughts out to somebody. If you know what will make you feel better, do anything it takes to make it happen. Only you know what you need and more often than not, it’s only yourself that can give it to you.
I would like to say a huge thank you to those of you who have sent donations to me whilst I’ve been absent. You’ve paid for fresh sets of guitar strings, MIDI controllers, travel and food for me during these emotionally draining times. Thank you all so much. I am truly forever grateful to anybody who supports what I do either through buying products or making a direct donation after downloading some open source software from me.
I’m excited for you to hear 2002, A Great Year For Calendars. I truly am.
I love you all so incredibly much. I will never leave you again, my friends.
Ghetto blasters and gauntlets,
Your friend,
HH
